Join the inaugural East Bde Maka Ska Safety Walk! The goal of these weekly walks is to build bonds and send a signal that our residents are working together to take care and stay safe. Walkers will receive a free Community Safety shirt and knit cap! Meet 10 AM at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church North Parking Lot to begin the walk.

Presented in neighborhood partnership, our Super Sale returns bigger than ever! If you plan to host a garage or yard sale, start setting things aside and register by 11pm, Wednesday, Aug. 30. Registration includes signage, pickup of unsold items, and a pin with sale details on our interactive event map.

The Board asked East Bde Maka Ska residents to vote in July to make Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) funds available for public safety and park improvements. View the results!

Make it a habit to check lake water quality testing online before swimming anywhere at bit.ly/MPRBlakes. Beaches in the Metro have been closing and reopening regularly this summer, as E. coli bacteria levels continue to rise and fall with the weather. MPRB water quality staff monitor the beaches regularly and when the bacteria levels are within state guidelines, the beaches will re-open.
