Ukrainian Benefit Dinner a Hit

Thanks to all who attended the recent fundraising dinner for the Ukrainian family sponsored by our neighborhood since December! Special thanks local chefs Fernando and Kalinka (The Harriet Brasserie), Steven Brown (Tilia, St. Genevieve) and Eric Sather (Lowry Hill Meats), and to The Harriet Brasserie for opening their space for the event.

Roman, Inna and Volodymyr are making great progress, having already taken necessary steps to get work authorization cards, social security cards, medical appointments, new jobs and a U.S. bank account. The fundraising goal of $10,000 has been met, which will be used for work transportation, food, medical expenses, housing, and tools for Volodymyr’s new job.

Funds are still being collected through Alight, and your support is welcome.
